It was Don Juan Bautista Gutiérrez who in 1920 started the first businesses that gave way to what is now known as CMI. He was always concerned that his business was based on high standards of personal ethics and responsibility.
Don Juanito himself applied these practices through a series of personal actions that sought to benefit the communities that witnessed his starting days as an entrepreneur, always preaching by example, always acting as a family, and treating everyone as he liked to be treated.
Over the years, the Corporation's businesses were created and expanded in several countries. Therefore, maintaining the principles that Don Juanito impregnated to our corporation, has been a challenge and a key purpose for the Corporation´s core to remain intact.
